He set a new personal record for the course, 16:15.6, and finished 117th out of 217 runners. He was 14th out of all the Montana runners and earned a little redemption as 1st in Class B. He placed third at the MHSA state xc meet just a few weeks prior. In Idaho, however, Schellig handled both of them easily.

The Joliet Run Club would like to thank everyone who has supported them and helped send this group to experience this amazing opportunity. They are supported entirely through donations and fundraising. Money raised goes toward competition fees, uniforms and travel costs for the Nike Cross Regionals race.

At this time, Nike Cross Regionals is the only solely supported event by the Joliet Run Club. They also compete in USA Track and Field club competitions throughout the summer and indoor track meets in the winter. For these meets, Joliet Run Club is able to cover competition entry fees, but athletes and families support travel costs.
